Just want to make sure that it's secure/doesn't send the mints flying everywhere.

These dispensers are very secure! Each dispenser opens from the bottom corner and snaps closed. We've added a picture to the product which might help you to better understand. If you'd like to test them out first hand, we'd be happy to send you a sample!
